The Klimabonus, explained simply
Luxembourg funds a large share of energy renovation work. Here's what the 2026 Klimabonus covers, and how we handle your application from start to finish.
What you can get
Residential solar is eligible for the 2026 Klimabonus, with the amount depending on installed capacity and your situation.
Replacing a heating system with a heat pump is one of the largest Klimabonus grants, depending on the equipment replaced.
Installing a home charging point can be subsidised up to 50%, depending on your situation.
On a lower income? Some aid can be increased
In Luxembourg, a scheme called the "topup social" can double certain state grants for energy-renovation work (insulation, Klimabonus Wunnen), depending on household income. Currently, aid for solar panels and heat pumps is calculated purely on installed capacity, with no income-based bonus — but if your project also includes renovation work, this bonus may apply. During your free feasibility study, we systematically check every aid scheme your household may qualify for.
